A calm, nurturing environment where children feel secure enough to explore and express.

Sessions follow the child’s pace while supporting regulation, connection, and trust.

Working alongside caregivers to strengthen understanding, attachment, and emotional wellbeing.

The Power of Play

Play is a child’s natural language and how they make sense of their world.
In play therapy, children are supported through connection, regulation, and relationship. This creates the safety needed for healing, resilience, and emotional growth.

Play therapy is designed
for children between the ages of 4 and 13

Play is how children naturally communicate and make sense of their experiences. In play therapy, children are supported through connection, safety, and regulation. Rather than focusing only on behaviour, the therapy looks beneath the surface. This allows children to feel understood and supported as emotional growth unfolds

The Play Therapy Process

What to expect when starting play therapy

Step 1: We begin with an initial parent interview (parents only). This gives me the opportunity to understand your child’s world, your concerns, and what may be happening beneath the behaviour. Together, we decide whether play therapy feels like the right next step.

n

Step 2: If we move forward, your child will attend weekly 40-minute play therapy sessions. These sessions offer a consistent, safe space where regulation, emotional expression, and connection can develop through play.

Step 3: After a period of sessions, we meet again for a parent review. This is a time to share reflections, insights, and supportive tools, and to decide together whether continued play therapy would be beneficial.

Who You’ll Meet in the Playroom

A small but mighty team ready to welcome you into our play space.
Together, we create a calm, safe environment where children can feel at ease.

Lisbon is our gentle emotional support pup who brings a little extra warmth and wag into the play space. With her calm nature and soft presence, she helps children feel settled, safe, and welcomed. Whether she’s quietly nearby or offering a friendly hello, Lisbon adds comfort in her own special way.

Hi, I’m Amber — the heart behind the play therapy space. I believe that when children feel safe, understood, and connected, meaningful growth can begin. To learn more about my story and approach, head over to the About page.
